India is the place in the North Indian Ocean that is most vulnerable to getting hit by tropical cyclones. The strongest tropical cyclone ever to make landfall in India is the 1999 Odisha cyclone. The most deadliest cyclone india is the 1964 Rameswaram cyclone which wiped out the Dhanushkodi town.
