International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women
November 25 is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. Marches attracted hundreds of participants in Bogota, Paris, and Rome. Thousands marched in San José, Costa Rica and Lima. Over 1,000 Turkish protesters turned out for a banned march in Istanbul.
