Amphetamine

Amphetamine was discovered in 1887 and exists as two enantiomers: levoamphetamine and dextroamphetamine. At therapeutic doses, amphetamine causes emotional and cognitive effects such as euphoria, change in desire for sex, increased wakefulness, and improved cognitive control.
