2018 Kemerovo fire
A fire engulfed the Winter Cherry shopping mall and entertainment complex in Kemerovo, Russia. At least 64 people were killed in the fire, 41 of them children. Investigators reported that the fire alarm system had not been working the week leading up to the fire with a previous report that a security guard turned it off.
