The story follows Tristan, a young man from the fictional town of Wall in Great Britain. Tristan enters the magical world to collect a fallen star to give to his beloved Victoria, in return for her hand in marriage. He collects the star who, to his surprise, is a woman named Yvaine. Witches and the Princes of Stormhold are also hunting for Yvain. Meanwhile, Tristan tries to get her back to Wall with him before Victoria’s birthday, the deadline of her offer. He learns it is in the possession of the fallen star and realizes that the heart of a star grants immortality. The movie was released on DVD, Blu-ray, and HD DVD on 18 December 2007, and has been released on Blu-Ray and Blu-rays for the first time in the United States on November 14, 2008. It has also been released in the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, France and the U.S. on November 15, 2008, and in Australia on November 16, 2008 and in the U., Australia and the United Kingdom on November 17, 2008 (but not in Australia and New Zealand on November 18, 2008).

The film was released in Australia, Canada, the U,S. and the UK on November 19, 2009, and on November 20, 2009 (and in the US on November 21, 2009). The UK release date for the UK version is November 22, 2009. The US release date is November 23, 2010 (and the UK release dates for the rest of the world on November 28, 2010, and November 29, 2010. The UK version of the film is November 30, 2011 (but the US release dates are November 30 and November 30). The U.K. release date of the movie is November 31, 2011. The U,K., Canada and Australia release the film on November 29 and December 10, 2011, respectively (and on November 27, 2012, and December 28, 2012). The US releases the film the following day (November 29, 2012) (and also on December 28 and March 28, 2013) (See below for more information on the film’s release dates) The film is set on the border of the magical fantasy kingdom of Storm hold and the English village of Wall. In Wall, a boy named Dunstan Thorne sees the falling star and vows to retrieve it for the object of his infatuation, the manipulative and vain Victoria. In Stormhold, three princes, Primus, Septimus and Tertius, independently search for the stone.
