Anastacia Jaclyn Dooley MBE is an English television presenter, journalist, media personality, and author. She rose to prominence in 2008 when she appeared as a participant on Blood, Sweat and T-shirts. In 2018, she won the sixteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Summary Stacey DooleyAnastacia Jaclyn Dooley MBE is an English television presenter, journalist, media personality, and author. Dooley rose to prominence in 2008 when she appeared as a participant on Blood, Sweat and T-shirts. Since then, she has made social-issue-themed television documentaries for BBC Three concerning child labour and women in developing countries. In 2018, she won the sixteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, with dance partner and now boyfriend Kevin Clifton. Since 2019, Dooley has presented Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star. She was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire in the 2018 Birthday Honours for services to broadcasting. She is the daughter of an Irish father and a British mother. Her father was from Ireland, and left the family when she was two years old. She grew up in Luton and studied at Stopsley High School. She left school at 15 and worked as a shop assistant, selling perfumes at Luton Airport.

She also worked in a hairdresser’s salon in Bramingham. She now lives in London with her boyfriend and their two children. She has a son, a daughter and a son-in-law. She currently lives with her husband and two children in London, London and Luton, Bedfordshire. She works as a freelance journalist and has written a book about her time in the UK and the U.S. The book, Stacey Dooley: A Girl’s Life, is out now and is published by Simon & Schuster.
