Murder on the Orient Express is a 1974 British mystery film directed by Sidney Lumet. It is based on the 1934 novel of the same name by Agatha Christie. It will also be released in Australia on December 23, 2009, and Europe on December 24, 2009. The American businessman Samuel Ratchett is found stabbed to death in his cabin. The next morning, the train is stopped by a snowdrift on the tracks in Yugoslavia.
