Justin Matthew Turner is an American professional baseball third baseman who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball for the Baltimore Orioles, New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers. With the Dodgers, Turner was an All-Star in 2017, and won the 2017 National League Championship Series Most Valuable Player Award. Turner is the son of John and Betsy Turner, and has one younger sister.

With the Dodgers, Turner was an All-Star in 2017, and won the 2017 National League Championship Series Most Valuable Player Award. Turner played college baseball for the Cal State Fullerton Titans. He was selected in the seventh round of the 2006 Major League baseball draft by the Cincinnati Reds, and made his major league debut in 2009. In 2012, the Mets converted him to an all-around infielder, but on May 6, 2012, he was non-tendered by the Mets. Turner won the 2020 World Series with the Dodgers. He is the first Met to win the Met award since its creation in 2001. He also won the 2013 NL Rookie of the Month award for May, and was named to the All-star team for the first time in his career in 2013. Turner is the son of John and Betsy Turner, and has one younger sister. He attended Mayfair High School in Lakewood, California, earning three-time All-Suburban first team honors as a shortstop and second baseman. He played collegiate summer baseball in the Cape Cod Baseball League for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox.

Turner was drafted by the New York Yankees in 2005, but he did not sign. In December 2008, during the Winter Meetings, Turner was traded along with utility player Ryan Freel and infielder Brandon Waring, in return for catcher Ramón Hernández. On May 25, 2010, Turner was claimed off waivers from the Orioles by the NY Mets and optioned to Triple-A Buffalo. He hit his first major league home run against the Houston Astros on May 15, 2011, off Aneury Rodriguez. He collected an most consecutive games for an RBI record for Turner in his 7th consecutive game, setting a record for the Mets rookie record for an consecutive games with an RBI. In 2013, Turner began platooning at shortstop with Jordany Valdespin until Jordany Tejada returned from the injured list. He won the NL MVP award for the Dodgers in 2013, and the NL Championship Series MVP award in 2014. In 2015, he won the National League MVP award with the Chicago Cubs. In 2016, Turner won a Gold Glove Award for his performance in the World Series win over the San Francisco Giants. In 2017, Turner became the first Dodger to win a World Series title with two different teams.
