She had a recurring role as Lumen Pierce in the fifth season of the Showtime series Dexter, which earned her nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film and the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series. She currently stars in the Sky Atlantic series Riviera, and appears in the Blue web series also broadcast on television. She is the oldest of three children; her siblings are John Junior and Jane. Stiles is of English, Irish, and Italian descent. She has three children with her husband, Michael Stiles, and a daughter with actor Matthew Broderick. She and her husband have two children with actor Michael Keaton, who also appeared in The Bourne films and the series Dexter. Her daughter is the daughter of former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and former New Jersey Gov. Ed Rendell, who died in a car accident in 2009. She lives with her mother in Chicago, Illinois, and has two step-daughters and a step-son with her ex-boyfriend, actor John Travolta. Her son is a junior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she also teaches hip-hop dance. Her husband is a former U.S. Air Force pilot and former Navy SEAL. She was married to actor Michael Douglas until his death in 2010. She now lives in Chicago with her family and has a daughter, a son and a son-in-law with whom she has two children. She works as a freelance writer and has appeared in several Shakespearean adaptations, including Hamlet, Desdemona, and The Cry of the Owl.
