She is a co-founder of 412 Food Rescue, a organization focused on eliminating food insecurity in the U.S. As First Lady of Braddock, Pennsylvania, she founded The Braddock Free Store, which provides lower-income families with toys, diapers, baby formula, clothing, household items, and furniture. She also launched The Hollander Project, a business incubator for women entrepreneurs. She was the first recipient of Rodef Shalom’s Pursuer of Peace Award in October 2019. In February 2020 she criticized the company Amazon.com for selling an anti-immigration bumper sticker with the text ‘We’re Full of Full’ on the shape of the country.
