Upon release, the album received generally positive reviews. The record was preceded by three singles: \”Break Up Song\”, \”Holiday\” and \”Sweet Melody\”. The album was certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry on 20 November 2020. The standard edition has 13 tracks and the deluxe version has 14 tracks. The opening track is a 1980s synth-pop ‘kiss-off anthem’ that has been compared to Don Henley’s ‘The Boys of Summer’ The title track is reminiscent of a compilation of early 2000s hits, and is a Europop-R&B song. The closing track, ‘Breathe’ is lyrically about heartbreak. The song samples ‘Sway’ by Dean Martin, and has drawn comparisons to TLC and Destiny’’.

It is a trap-pop song that interpolates ‘Back to Life II Soul by Soul II Soul. On 24 July The official music video was released as the lead single of the then-untitled album. The official track listing was revealed on 27 October, with the full track listing confirmed on 28 October. On 16 October, the promotional single ‘Not a Pop Song’ was announced as the first promotional single. On 9 October 2020, the song was released along with the title ‘Confetti’, along with a music video for the album track ‘Wasabi’ On 16 September 2020, Confetti was announced across multiple social media platforms by Little Mix, revealing the release date to be 6 November2020, as well as the album art and the title. On 18 September, streaming services released pre-orders of the album. The album entered the UK Albums Chart at number two, after strong first week competition.
