He is a two-time Glory Heavyweight Championship challenger and three-time winner of heavyweight tournament. Adeg buyi was born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania to a Romanian mother and Nigerian father. He made his kickboxing debut as a professional on March 18, 2011. He signed with K-1 in August 2012. He became the mandatory challenger for a shot at the GLORY heavyweight title on March 7, 2015. He faced GLORY Heavyweight Champion Rico Verhoeven at Lille 22: Lille on June 5, 2015, but was defeated by unanimous decision. He was voted runner-up in the official GLORY Half-Year Awards. He also won the Superkombat World Grand Prix III 2012 tournament winner and 2018 Glory Heavywood Grand Prix tournament runner-ups. A professional since 2011, he also fought in K- 1. He is ranked the #3 heavyweight in the world by Glory. He has also been a member of the WBA, WBC, IBF, IBO, WBO, and WBA Bantamweight Championships. He won the WBC Bantamweights title in 2011 and WBC Light Heavyweight title in 2013.

He currently lives in Zevenbergen, the Netherlands with his wife and two children. He trained under Alin Panaite at Respect Gym in the Romanian capital Bucharest, and has also trained with Andrei Stoica at the Allstars Training Center in Stockholm, Sweden. The couple have a daughter, a son, and a step-daughter. He lives with his mother and newborn sister in Aiud, Transylvania, Romania. He previously competed in sports like shotokan karate, boxing and basketball as a child, and is currently training at Superpro Sportcenter inZevenbergan, Netherlands. He fought Jafar Ahmadi in a non-tournament bout at the K-2 World Grand prix 2012 in Tokyo Final 16 on October 14. AdEGbuyi won via TKO early in the first round after Ahm Ali seemingly broke his left hand. He defeated Mohamed Belazaar via first-round TKO due to an injury a SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Grand Prix I 2013 in Oradea, Romania on April 6. He rematched Jairzinho Rozenstruik at SUPERKomBAT world Grand Prix II 2013 in Craiova, Romania in May 18, and won by unanimous victory.
