Nguyễn Thanh Tùng (born July 5, 1994) is a Vietnamese singer-songwriter and actor. His self-written 2012 and 2013 singles launched his career. His other works include the M-TP Ambition concert tour and starring role in the 2014 film Dandelion. He was included on Forbes Vietnam’s 2018 30 Under 30 list.

Summary Sơn Tùng M-TPNguyễn Thanh Tùng (born July 5, 1994) is a Vietnamese singer-songwriter and actor. His self-written 2012 and 2013 singles launched his career. His other works include the M-TP Ambition concert tour and starring role in the 2014 film Dandelion. He has received many accolades which include a MTV Europe Music Award, a Dedication Music Award and a Mnet Asian Music Award. He was included on Forbes Vietnam’s 2018 30 Under 30 list. He is known as the ‘Prince of V-pop’ and ‘Mr Pình’ by fellow LadyKillah member J. J. Song he originally wrote for Over Band and Young Pilots received the Song of the Month award from the music website Zing MP3 in October 2012. He published his autobiography, Chạm tới giấc mơ, in October 2013. He spent four years as part of Văn Production and WePro Entertainment until his record label, M- TP Entertainment, was founded in late 2016. He also appeared as a contestant on the television series The Remix. He currently lives in Vietnam with his wife and two children, who live in Hanoi and Hoàng, the capital city of Hàng Nai Province. His mother plays guitar, and her husband plays seven instruments, and he has a younger brother, Nguyên Việt HoàNG.

Tüng’s mother opened a barbershop at home which later became a clothing store. She also used to work as a bridal make-up artist. The singer described his early life as \”peaceful. \” He has two younger brothers, who also sing and play instruments. He and his classmates formed a group, Over Band, and began writing and uploading songs on the independent-music website Lady Killah in 2009. Rap artist Hoàang Kê invited the singer to join his hip hop group in 2010, and the pair recorded and performed across Thái BìNh, successful in their hometown and online. In 2011, he published his song Cơn mưa ngang qua on the website. Within two months of its release, it had 7 million streams. It received a Zing Music Award for R&B song of the Year and a Ring Songing Award for Best Song of 2012. T ùng wrote it himself before deciding to record the song himself. He now calls himself Mr Pùnh, a nickname bestowed on him by fellow member of Lady killah, J.J. According to the singer, it now stands for Mr Music, Music, and cùch cái nài nìi nôi nám. He wrote the song for the album m-tp m-TP and published it as a compilation album in 2017.
