Michael McKean

Michael John McKean is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and musician. He played Lenny Kosnowski in Laverne & Shirley, David St. Hubbins in This Is Spinal Tap, and Chuck McGill on Better Call Saul. He was a cast member on Saturday Night Live for its 19th and 20th seasons in the mid-1990s. In 2020, he starred alongside Martin Freeman in the parental comedy series Breeders. He is of Irish, English, Scottish, and some German and Dutch descent.

In 1997, he performed the lead role in the video game Grand Inquisitor as the villain Mr Dalboz. In 1999, he appeared in the films The Brady Bunch Movie, and Mrs. Torkz Teaching Teaching, as the teacher in the classroom. He co-wrote the song “A Mighty Wind,” which won a Grammy Award for him, as well as “A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow,” which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Song.

He appeared in a number of movie roles, including the film adaptation of Memoirs of an Invisible Man, Coneheads, Airheads, and Radioland Murders. He has appeared in several television series, including The X-Files, The Simpsons, and The Simpsons re-imagined as the voice of Mr Dittmeyer in The Brady Movie. He also starred in the television series Grand, which aired for a short time in the 1990s. He currently lives in New York City with his wife and two children. He and his wife have a son and a daughter who live on Long Island, New York, and he has two step-daughters and a step-son. He had a son with his first wife, who lives in Los Angeles, California, and has a daughter with his second wife. His son is the son of Ruth Stewart Mc Kean, a librarian, and Gilbert S. McKeans, one of the founders of Decca Records, and was raised in Sea Cliff.
