Małgorzata Jamroży (born 30 June 1991), known professionally as Margaret, is a Polish singer and songwriter. She rose to prominence in her native country in 2013, and achieved moderate chart success in some European territories. Margaret has received numerous accolades, including five Eska Music Awards, a Kids’ Choice Award and four MTV Europe Music Awards for Best Polish Act.

In 2015, the Polish magazine Wprost named her one of the 50 most-influential Polish celebrities. Alongside her music career, Margaret has endorsed numerous products, designed a clothing line for fashion retailer Sinsay in 2015 and voiced Smurfstorm in the Polish-language version of Smurfs: The Lost Village in 2017. She also served as a coach on The Voice of Poland in 2019. She won an episode of the programme Std. na Ciędę czeka in 2009 and took part in the final in 2009 at the Congress Hall in Warsaw. In 2011, she co-founded a six-piece electropop band with R&B and hip hop influences that she formed with producer and bassist Adam Kabński. In 2013, she released her debut studio album Add the Blonde, which spawned the singles \”Wasted\”, \”Start a Fire\” and \”Heartbeat\”. The following year, she recorded a collaborative jazz album with Matt Dusk titled Just the Two of Us.

Margaret attained her second Polish top 10 record with her third studio album Monkey Business, which yielded the singles \”What You Do” and \”Byle jak\”. In 2019, she left her record label and management in 2019, and released her first Polish- language album, Gaja Hornby, which saw her depart mainstream pop music for a more urban sound. She was included on a 2014 list of the 100 most-valuable stars of Polish show business compiled by the Polish edition of Forbes. She has a degree in fashion design from the International School of Costume and Fashion Design in Warsaw in 2015. In 2006, Margaret appeared on the Polish television talent show Szansa na Sukces  Sukces. She sang Monika Broka’s song “Znamę pamięć” on the show’s final episode. In 2009, she sang in the musical Rent at the Szczecin Opera House. In 2010, she appeared in a musical Rent with the band oNieboLepie, with whom she sang poetry. In 2012, she performed in a show at the In lyceum in Warsaw, where she sang the song \”Znam ępami�’ć’. In 2014, she returned to the programme to sing in the show’s final episode, performing MonikaBroka’ s song “Znam ’pam’ pam”. In 2016, she won an episode of Stdna na Stęłowska, singing the song ‘I’m in love with you’ on the programme.
