Makwan Amirkhani is a Finnish mixed martial artist competing in the Featherweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He is perhaps best known for his first-round eight-second knockout of Andy Ogle, which is one of the fastest knockouts in UFC history. Makwan was born in Kermanshah, Iran and is Kurdish.

He has fought five times in amateur boxing and was the 1st runner-up in 2012 Mr Finland, which his nickname refers to. Amirkani has a brother and father who both died in car accidents after the family moved to Finland after the Iran–Iraq War.

He was briefly linked to a bout with Diego Rivas on June 20, 2015 at UFC Fight Night 69. Rivas was pulled from the fight due to undisclosed reasons and replaced by Masio Fullen. He also frequently posts in support for the Peshmerga on his social media accounts and holds the Kurdish flag during weigh-ins in the UFC.
