Su is married to Mark Su, who is a former CEO of Texas Instruments and co-founded AMD’s Emerging Products division. The Su family lives in New York City and has three children.

Summary Lisa SuLisa Su is the president and chief executive officer of Advanced Micro Devices. Su is known for her work developing silicon-on-insulator semiconductor manufacturing technologies. She was named Executive of the Year by EE Times in 2014 and one of the World’s Greatest Leaders in 2017 by Fortune. Su was born in Taiwan and moved to the U.S. at the age of 3. She has worked at Texas Instruments, IBM, and Freescale Semiconductor in engineering and management positions. She currently serves on the boards of Analog Devices, Global Semiconductors Alliance, and the S.emiconductor Industry Association, and is a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.  Su was appointed president and CEO of AMD in October 2014, after joining the company in 2012 and holding roles such as senior vice president of AMD’s global business units and chief operating officer. Su was named a Top 35 Under 35 Innovator Under 35 in 2001, in part due to her work with IBM in a collaboration to create next-generation chips with Toshiba and Ken Kutaragi. She is also a member of the board of directors of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Su is married to Mark Su, who is a former CEO of Texas Instruments and co-founded AMD’s Emerging Products division.

The couple has two children, a son, a daughter, and a son-in-law, who all work for the semiconductor and mobile device industries, including Apple, Samsung, Qualcomm, and Intel. The Su family lives in New York City and has three children. They have three grandchildren, two step-children and one step-great-grandchild. The family has three great-grandchildren, all of whom are living in the United States and Taiwan.  The Sus have two great-great grandchildren, who live in California and Japan, as well as a step-granddaughter in China. Su has a son and a daughter who are both in their late 20s and early 30s, and she has two grandchildren who are in their early 20s, too, and has a daughter in her late 30s and mid-40s. She and her brother were encouraged to study math and science as children, and her father – a retired statistician – began quizzing her on multiplication tables.
