Jason McCourty

Jason McCourty is a cornerback for the New England Patriots. He was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the sixth round, 203rd overall, in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at Rutgers. He has also played for the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, and the New York Jets. In 2014, he was named to the Pro Bowl after playing in all 16 games and starting in all three playoff games. In 2015, he won a Super Bowl ring with the Patriots against the Seattle Seahawks.

He has also played for the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, and the New York Jets. McCoury is the brother of former Patriots cornerback Devin McCouries. He ran the fastest 40-yard dash time of any player at Rutgers’ pro day. He is the second player from Rutgers drafted after first-rounder Kenny Britt and was the 31st cornerback that was drafted in 2009 draft. His twin brother, Devin, started alongside him as a cornerback at Rutgers and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in information technology. The Tennessee Titans signed him to a four-year, USD 1.84 million contract on June 23, 2009. He entered training camp competing for the job as the starting cornerback against rookie Ryan Mouton, rookie Alterraun Verner, and Tye Hill. He made his professional regular season debut in the Titans’ season-opening 13–10 loss at the Pittsburgh Steelers. He finished his rookie season in 2009 with 29 combined tackles in 15 games and three starts. In 2010, he made three combined tackles, a pass deflection, and intercepted a pass by Philip Rivers during their 33–25 loss at San Diego Chargers.

In 2011, he started the regular season against the Baltimore Ravens and made four solo tackles, an interception, and broke up a pass during their 38–13 victory. In 2012, he played in 12 games and six starts for the Patriots. He also played in two games for the Browns, starting in the season-opener against the New Orleans Saints. In 2013, he appeared in the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles and made three solo tackles and an interception. In 2014, he was named to the Pro Bowl after playing in all 16 games and starting in all three playoff games. In 2015, he won a Super Bowl ring with the Patriots against the Seattle Seahawks. In 2016, he helped the Patriots win their first Super Bowl appearance since 2002.
