Dwayne Haskins

Dwayne Haskins Jr. is an American football quarterback for the Washington Football Team of the National Football League. He played college football at Ohio State University, where he threw 50 touchdowns during his lone starting season in 2018. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, 15th overall. He has been named the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year for his efforts in his first two seasons in the NFL.

For that, he won several Big Ten conference awards and was named as a finalist for the Maxwell Award and Heisman Trophy. He was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, 15th overall. Despite his high school and college jersey number of 7 being unofficially retired by the Redskins in honor of quarterback Joe Theismann, his career ended with a leg injury in 1985, he requested and was granted permission from him to wear it. He won 19 games as a rookie, including his first career win an NFL starter against the Detroit Lions, giving him seven percent body fat and one of the team captains.

He has been named the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year for his efforts in his first two seasons in the NFL. He is also a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, having been inducted into the hall of fame in 2012. He also won the Heisman Trophy in 2013 and 2014, as well as the Griese–Brees Quarterback of the year and the Graham–George Offensive Player of the Week awards. He threw for 499 yards and five touchdowns in the 2018 Big Ten Football Championship Game, while throwing three touchdown in the 2019 Rose Bowl, winning the MVP award in both games for his performance.
