It has a total viewership of 3 billion worldwide, it has surpassed the viewership of Game of Thrones. It is also known as the Turkish Game Of Thrones. The Kayı migrate to the Seljuk-Mongol borders in Anatolia near Erzurum, following the will of Suleyman Shah before he died. Meanwhile, the Kayı tribe led by Hayme Ana, seeks refuge with the Dodurga tribe, led by Korkut Bey, her brother, as they were attacked by the Mongols resulting in many casualties with more than half the tribe dead. In the second season, Ertughrul is captured by the Mongolians but later escapes. He later marries Halime and has a son, Gündüzz, with whom he has a daughter, Gundogdu, who is later killed by Noyan. He also has a long-lost brother, Sungurtekin, who appears in the third season to help him in the fight against the Mongol.

He is killed by an arrow shot by Abdurrahman Alp, who later becomes the first martyr of the Western Anatolian tribe. The tribe is split between joining the Western border of Anatolia or staying with Ertugul’s tribe, with Gundogrul staying with Sungurtkin or staying in Anatolia. After defeating Güstekin and Noyin, Ertugrul’s son, Turgut, is born. He then kills Tuğtekin and beheads him as a punishment. ErtuGurrul then marries Aykiz, his childhood sweetheart and only love, and later has a second son, Gundündzz. He eventually dies in a battle with the Templars, who attempt to kill him. He dies in the battle and is buried in a cave. He leaves behind a son and two daughters, Halime Hatun and Gümüzgül, who are later married and have a daughter. The daughter is later pregnant and later dies in her womb. The son’s wife, Aytolun, plots behind his back to help her brother become the margrave with the help of Emir Sadettin Kopek. She steals the Oğuz seal from him while poisoning Korku and herself and putting the blame on Banu Çiçek, his adoptive daughter.
