On April 16, 2019, PondExter announced her retirement from the W NBA after 13 seasons in a post on Instagram. She was a member of the USA Women’s U18 team which won the gold medal at the FIBA Americas Championship in Mar Del Plata, Argentina in 2000. She also represented the USA at the U19 World Championship, held in the Czech Republic in 2001.

In 2005, she helped the USA team to a 6–1 record and a bronze medal in the 2005 Summer Olympics. In 2008, she won a gold medal with the USA in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. In 2012, she signed with Fenerbahçe Istanbul for the 2012–13, 2013–14 European seasons. In 2015, Pondexer signed with Beşiktaş JK for the 2015-16 European season. In November 2016, Pond Exter signed with Girne Üniversitesi for the 2016-17 European season in Mar del Plata. In June 28, 2018, Pond exter was released by the Sparks.
