The group’s fifteenth studio album Black Ice was the second-highest-selling album of 2008, and their biggest chart hit since For Those About to Rock, eventually reaching No. 1 worldwide. They are currently touring with Axl Rose, who stepped in as the band’s vocalist for the remainder of that year’s dates after Brian Johnson was advised to stop touring due to worsening hearing loss.

In 2012, the band released Back in Black, which was dedicated to Bon Scott’s memory. The album has sold 22 million units in the US, where it is the sixth- Highest- Selling Album of all Time. It was their first album to reach number one in theUnited States, and they have since had several line-up changes. In 2013, Malcolm Young was replaced by his nephew Stevie Young, who debuted on ACDC’s 2014 album Rock or bust, and on its accompanying tour, previous drummer Chris Slade filled in for Rudd. In 2014, the group toured with Guns N’ Roses frontman AxlRose, who step in for Malcolm Young, and ex-Masters Apprentices drummer Colin Burgess. In the early days, most members of the band dressed in some form of glamor outfit or sat on the stage in some kind of costume. The name ACDC came from Malcolm’s sister Margaret, who saw the initials ‘ACDC’ on a school-man costume and suggested it as a name for the band. In 1973, the Young brothers formed ACDC with bassist Larry Van Kriedt, vocalist Dave Evans, and drummers Colin Burgess and Paul Stenning. By this time, Angus Young had adopted his characteristic school-uniform outfit: Spider-Man, Zorro, a gorilla and a gorilla a parody of Superman, named Super-Angor. In 1977, Evans was fired from the band and replaced by Cliff Williams, who has appeared on every ACDC album since 1978.
