Adam Richard Sandler is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. He was a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1995. Sandler has earned praise for his dramatic performances in films such as Punch-Drunk Love, Spanglish, Reign Over Me, Funny People, The Meyerowitz Stories, and Uncut Gems. He also voices Dracula in the Hotel Transylvania franchise.

He also voices Dracula in the Hotel Transylvania franchise. In 2009, Sandler starred in Judd Apatow’s third film under the Disney banner, The Funny People. His first family film was The Bedtime Stories, a comedy about a famous comedian with a terminal illness. He starred alongside friend Kevin James in the film I Don’t Mess with the Zohan and Larry, and headlined You Don’t You Chuck Now and Larry. He has appeared in numerous other films, including Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, The Longest Yard, 50 First Dates, Blended, Click, Grown Ups 2, and Hubie Halloween. He will return to SNL as a host in 2019, and is expected to appear on the show alongside Chris Farley and David Spade.

He currently lives in New York City with his wife and two children. He lives with his family in New Jersey and has a daughter and a son with his ex-wife, both of whom he met at SNL. His brother is also a comedian, and he has appeared on several episodes of SNL and The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien and The Late Show with David Letterman. His father is Jewish and descends from Russian-Jewish immigrants on both sides. He grew up in Manchester, New Hampshire, after moving there at the age of six. He attended Manchester Central High School and was in BBYO, a Jewish youth group. He graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 1988. He played Theo Huxtable’s friend, Smitty, in The Cosby Show and the Stud Boy or Trivia Delinquent in the MTV game show Remote Control. In 1993, he appeared in the movie Coneheads with Chrisfarley, Davidspade, Dan Aykroyd, Phil Hartman, and Jane Curtin. In 1994, he co-starred in Airheads with Brendan Fraser and Steve Buscemi.
