Escaping from his abusive mother, Ashley enters into a sexual relationship with his uncle who offers his insights into the world and the nature of reality. Eventually Ashley tells David that he wants to die, and David agrees to carry out the killing. It premiered on 25 March 2010 at the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival held in the BFI Southbank in central London. Reviews were mixed, but the film won several awards at international film festivals. It was released on DVD by Peccadillo Pictures in 2011. It is available on Blu-ray and DVD in the UK and the U.S. for £16.99 each, with a UK release date of September 14, 2013. The UK release dates are September 13, 2013, and September 15, 2014, for the US release dates in the United States and September 16, 2013 for the UK. It will also be available on DVD and Blu-Ray in Australia and Canada for £14.99. The US release date is September 14th, 2015, and the UK releasedates are September 16th, 2013 and September 17th, 2014. The films were developed collectively under the banner of the Avant-Garde Alliance, it was filmed in October 2009. Each scene was improvised and filmed in a single take. Hoyle appeared in the film Velvet Goldmine and the television series Nathan Barley. Independently, Hoyle worked in retail, retail retail, and retail designer Vivienne Prowler and then Vivienne Westwood Subrow.
