The Wallflowers are an American rock solo project of American musician and multi-instrumentalist Jakob Dylan. The band was formed in Los Angeles in 1989 by singer-songwriter Dylan and guitarist Tobi Miller. In 1990, keyboardist Rami Jaffee was added as the final member to join the group. The Wallflower’s last album, Bringing Down the Horse, was released in 1996. It has been listed as one of the best-selling albums of all time, along with The Beatles’ ” Abbey Road” and The Rolling Stones’ “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey”

The band has gone through a number of personnel changes but has remained centered on Dylan. They have won two Grammy Awards: Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Rock Song for \”One Headlight\” in 1998. They went on to release an additional three albums before going on hiatus. In 2012, the Wall Flowers reunited to release their sixth studio album, Glad All Over. They are currently working on their seventh album, which is expected to be released later this year. The Wallflower’s last album, Bringing Down the Horse, was released in 1996. It is listed at #58 in Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Greatest Pop Songs. It was released on Virgin Records, who were reportedly not pleased with the album’s lack of commercial success. In total, 40,000 copies of the album were sold, but despite this sales were slow, the company was going through a shift in management which led to the removal of two people, Jeff Harris and Jordan Ayeroff, from the company. The album was released to mostly positive reviews, however, Rolling Stone gave the album 4 stars, calling it “impressive” and describing Dylan’s songwriting as “one sweet debut” It was also released as an opening act for bands such as Spin Doctors and 10,000 Maniacs. It has been listed as one of the best-selling albums of all time, along with The Beatles’ ” Abbey Road” and The Rolling Stones’ “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey” The band was formed in Los Angeles in 1989 by singer-songwriter Dylan and guitarist Tobi Miller.

In 1990, keyboardist Rami Jaffee was added as the final member to join the group. After the release of their debut album in 1992, the band began touring nationwide as a support act for other bands, such as The Spin Doctors. The group has since released an additional four albums, including their most recent, “6th Avenue Heartache” in 2012. The most recent album, “Glad All Over,” was released earlier this year and is the band’s fifth album in total. It will be released on September 14, 2013. The first single from the new album is “I Can’t Go for That,” which was written by Dylan with the rest of the band members contributing input on the music. The second song, “I Don’t Want To Go,” was written with the help of Barrie Maguire, who was in the 45’s with Miller, and was recorded by Peter Yanowitz, the drummer. The third and final song, “The Last Song,” was recorded with the assistance of the drummer and bass player,  Peter Yanowitz. The fourth and final track, “The First Song”, was written and recorded by Dylan and the keyboardist,  Rami Jafee. The song was recorded in the Kibitz Room, a bar located in the back of Canter’s; a Jewish deli located on Fairfax Avenue in LA.
