The first season aired from 1 November 2015 to 5 June 2016. It starred Mouni Roy, Arjun Bijlani and Adaa Khan as Shivanya, Ritik and Shesha. It became one of the highest-rated shows on Indian television. The fourth season was introduced with a new title Naagin: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel. It aired from 14 December 2019 to 8 August 2020. It stars Nia Sharma, Vijayendra Kumeria, Jasmin Bhasin and Rashami Desai as Brinda, Dev, Nayantara and Shalakha. The fifth season premiered on 9 August 2020, It stars Surbhi Chandna, Sharad Malhotra and Mohit Sehgal as Bani Sharma, Veer Singhania and Jay Mathur. The sixth season was aired on 8 August 2021, It starred SurbHI Jyoti, Pearl V Puri and Anita Hassanandani as Bela, Mahir and Vish respectively.

The seventh season aired on 10 August 2021 and the eighth season on 11 August 2021. The ninth season was premiered on 10 September 2021. It was the last season to be aired before it was replaced by a new series, which aired on 12 September 2021, and the 10th season will be aired on 11 September 2022. The 10th and 11th seasons will be the last seasons of the series to be broadcast on the Indian television network, Zee TV. The 11th and 12th seasons are expected to be the first to be shown on the satellite network, which will air on the 8th and the 12th September of each year. The 13th and 14th seasons were the last to be screened on the Hindi channel, which airs on the 16th and 17th September.
