While interviewing Mrs. Hubbard, Poirot is shot in the shoulder by a former army sniper, who claims responsibility for the murder, but Bouc stops him from killing him. The movie grossed over USD 351 million worldwide, and received praise for its performances and its production value. The fourth screen adaptation of Christie’s novel, following the 1974 film, a 2001 TV film version, and a 2010 episode of the television series Agatha Christie’s Poirots. The first film in the series is set to be released in September 2014.
