Mark-Paul Gosselaar

Mark-Paul Harry Gosselaar (born March 1, 1974) is an American actor. He is known for his television roles as Zack Morris in Saved by the Bell, Detective John Clark Jr. in NYPD Blue, and Peter Bash in Franklin & Bash. He was the lead in the 1998 film Dead Man on Campus and starred in the 2016 TV series Pitch.

He was the lead in the 1998 film Dead Man on Campus and starred in the 2016 TV series Pitch. He currently plays Paul Johnson in the ABC sitcom series Mixed-ish, the prequel series of Black-ish. His paternal great-grandparents were murdered at the Sobibor extermination camp during the Holocaust. His mother, who is of Indonesian and Dutch descent, is from Bali, the former Dutch East Indies, now Indonesia.

His father is of German and Dutch Jewish descent. He has appeared in a number of stage plays, including The Understudy with The New York Theatre Company and The Roundabout Theatre Company in New York City. He also appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in a sketch with Saved By The Bell cast members in February 2015. He will participate in a reunion of the show’s cast members to date on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on February 4, 2015, along with four fellow castmembers to date. The Passage will be his next TV series.
