About Mandalorian in brief

Summary MandalorianMandalorians are fictional people associated with the planet Mandalore in the Star Wars franchise created by George Lucas. First conceptualized for The Empire Strikes Back as a group of white-armored \”supercommandos\”, the idea developed into a single bounty hunter character named Boba Fett. Although Fett was not explicitly identified as a Mandalorian, his popularity inspired an extensive number of works about Mandalorians in other canon and non-canon Star Wars media. The television series The Clone Wars, Rebels and The Mandalorian established the Mandalorians as a distinct ethnicity of human people from Mandalore and nearby worlds; united by a common creed with a strong warrior tradition. More spin-off material explored Mandalorian lore, including the violent Death Watch sect. Following the acquisition of Lucasfilm by Disney, in 2014, most existing spin off material was declared non- canon. Only the films and spin-offs produced after April 25, 2014, are part of the restructured canon, including television series such as The clone Wars and Rebels, the latter of which heavily focuses on the Mandalorian creed. The design of New Mandalorian cities, such as the capital Sundari, draws on Cubist elements and murals located in the city of Guernica. The concept of Mandalore as a desolate planet of white sand-like buildings with these cube-like cubes was developed by Lucas in early development for the second season of Star Wars: The Clone War.

The Mandalorians were first extensively explored in issues of Marvel Comics’ original Star Wars series and various other Star Wars Legends media, including comics by Dark Horse and video games by LucasArts. Mandalorian armor, often outfitted with jetpacks, and helmets, similar to those used by Boba. Fett and his father Jango Fett, are also a bounty hunter who is not explicitlyidentified as a mandarorian, but wears Mandalorian Armor. In The Mandalian, Boba refers to his father as a Mandarorian foundling. The character previously appeared in the non- Canonical television special Star Wars Holiday Special, and returned in Return of the Jedi and the prequel film Attack of the Clones. The backstory of the Mandalians was first explored in the original StarWars series. Mandalorians made their live action cinematic debut in The Empire strikes Back, with the bounty hunter Boba fett, a supporting antagonist. The animated series StarWars: The Clone wars expands upon Mandalorian Lore with the introduction of new characters, including Duchess Satine Kryze and Pre Vizsla, the leader of the Death Watch faction of Mandalorians.
