Riot Games, the company behind League, said that they would see KDA as a full-fledged music label in the future.

Riot’s head of music division, Toa Dunn, claimed in an interview with Variety that the most involved music project we’ve ever done was with KDA. According to Toa, there is a huge overlap between League and the overall music industry, and as a result they invested in building an internal music team with both an artist focused on composers and producers. The result is that you can all see the services that you would see at a standard music label such as distribution, distribution, A&R and distribution, such as Toa and Jimeneza Dunn’s choreographed dances, and people who can perform all the dances you can see in the game. The name ‘KDA’ is a reference to the term ‘kill, death, assist’ used in League. It is a term used to refer to the number of kills and assists that a player achieves in a game, and is used to describe the overall experience of playing the game in the world of League. In the game, ‘Kill, Death, Assist’ refers to the amount of kills, assists and kills a player has during a game.
