Judd Trump is an English professional snooker player from Bristol. He won his first ranking title at the 2011 China Open. Trump reached the final of the 2011 World Championship and claimed his first Triple Crown title by winning the 2011 UK Championship. In the 2018–19 snooki season, he won hisfirst Masters, defeating Ronnie O’Sullivan 10–4 in the final. Trump is the current world number one.

Summary Judd TrumpJudd Trump is an English professional snooker player from Bristol. He is a former world champion and the current world number one. Trump turned professional in 2005, aged 16. He won his first ranking title at the 2011 China Open, reached the final of the 2011 World Championship, and claimed his first Triple Crown title by winning the 2011 UK Championship. In the 2018–19 snooki season, he won hisfirst Masters, defeating Ronnie O’Sullivan 10–4 in the final, and completed his Triple Crown by claiming his first world title. In doing so, he became the first player to win over £1 million in prize money in a single season. Trump is one of 11 players to have won a career Triple Crown. He has compiled more than 700 century breaks in professional competition, making him only the fifth player ever to reach the 700-century mark. He finished the season on 102 centuries, one fewer than Neil Robertson’s record 103. Trump was English Under-13 and Under-15 champion, and reached the World Under-21 Championship semi-finals at the age of 14. He was coached by Tony Chappel for the 2009 Championship League to qualify for the Premier League event later in the year in which he won four of his six matches. He then triumphed over former world champions Peter Ebdon and Shaun Murphy at the China Open to reach his first final over former professional world champions. In January 2010, he joined Romford-based snookers agency Romford Leisure Leisure.

Trump has won a total of 19 ranking titles in his career, including the 2009 China Open and the 2010 UK Championship, as well as the 2010 World Championship and the 2012 UK Open. He also reached the last-48 stage of the 2007 World Championship. He became the second player after Neil Robertson to compile 100 100 breaks in aSingle season. He lost 1–5 to Shaun Murphy in the 2010 China Open final, but then won the following year’s China Open by beating Shaun Murphy 4–2 in the semi-final. Trump won the World Cup of Snooker for the first time in 2011, beating world No. 1 Mark Williams 4–3 in the quarter-finals. The 2009–10 season was less successful for Trump, as he failed to progress beyond the last 32 in any of the ranking tournaments. He failed to make it beyond the first four rounds of the Grand Prix in the 2008–09 season, losing to Joe Perry in the last 16. Trump also missed out on the 2008 World Championship after a 9–10 loss to Joe Swail in final round of qualifying, despite having led 9–5 in the first round of the tournament. Trump lost 8–10 to Stephen Lee in final qualifying round, having led 6–5 earlier in the match. He ended the 2009–2010 season in the Top 32 of the rankings for the short time by winning four of the six matches he played in. The next year he won the Championship League for short time in the 2009-10 season.
