iKon is a South Korean boy band formed in 2015 by YG Entertainment. Originally a seven-piece band, B. I, departed from the group in June 2019. Their debut studio album Welcome Back debuted atop the South Korean Gaon Album Chart. In 2018, their second studio album, Return, spawned the hit single \”Love Scenario\”, which topped the Gaon Digital Chart for a recoding-breaking six weeks. Their third EP, I Decide was released on February 6, 2020.

Summary IKoniKon, stylized as iKON, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2015 by YG Entertainment. Originally a seven-piece band, B. I, departed from the group in June 2019. The group went on to appear in the 2014 reality survival show Mix & Match, which determined the final membership lineup of iKon. The final lineup contained the three remaining members of Team B, with the addition of Chanwoo. Their debut studio album Welcome Back debuted atop the South Korean Gaon Album Chart, spawning the number-one singles, \”My Type\”, \”Apology\” and \”Dumb & Dumber\”, and three top-ten singles. In 2018, their second studio album, Return, spawned the hit single \”Love Scenario\”, which topped the Gaon Digital Chart for a recoding-breaking six weeks. Their third EP, I Decide was released on February 6, 2020. They were the only group on the list that had yet to debut that had not yet been announced for the group’s official debut on September 15, 2015. It was revealed on YG entertainment’s website that they were to make their debut in 2015. On January 28, 2015, Billboard listed the group as one of the \”Top 5-Pop Artists to Watch in 2015\”. They have performed at the Bigbang’s Japan Dome 2014-2015 X Tour 2014 and 2015 X X X Tour in Japan, as opening act at Big Bang’s Bigbang 2014-15 X Tour. They also performed at a CS channel in Japan on December 29, 2014 on the CS channel. In September, approximately 40,000 Japanese fans applied for a fan meeting at a Tojima River Forum, while more than 50,000 Chinese fans apply for their fan meeting in Beijing in December 2014 on CS Channel. The members of the group appeared as backup dancers in Taeyang’s music video for \”Ringa Linga\”. In June 2014, Team B appeared in the reality survival program WIN: Who Is Next, competing against other trainees in \”Team A\” for the chance to debut as a group. The team released two singles: \”Just Another Boy” and \”Climax” during the program, after which Team B eventually lost to Team A, who debuted as Winner.
