It was next produced at The Muny, in St. Louis, from July 6 through July 12, 2015. It opened on Broadway, produced by the Roundabout Theater Company, at Studio 54 on October 6, 2016, and closed on January 15, 2017.

The cast featured Patti Murin as Linda, Gavin Lee as Ted, Susan Mosher as Louise, Tally Sessions as Jim, Danny Rutigliano as Danny and Haley Podschun as Lila. Jim Hardy, Ted Hanover and Lila Dixon perform at a club in New York City in 1946. Jim proposes to Lila, and he tells her that he bought Mason Farm in Midville, Connecticut. Lila is reluctant to give up performing. Jim and Linda are attracted to each other and awkwardly express their shared longing to move forward with their lives. Jim is visited by the spirited Linda, an aspiring-turned-teacher who had lived on the farm. Jim finds the farm and local boy Charlie Winslow, an overly enthusiastic farmhand, presents Jim with a bill for back-house taxes. Jim misses Lila; meanwhile, Lila and Ted have a successful tour and will continue to continue their engagement. Jim breaks off their engagement, but she finally visits their engagement and she breaks off the tour.
