Go Man Go was an American Quarter Horse stallion and race horse. He was named World Champion Quarter Running Horse three times in a row, one of only two horses to achieve that distinction. He won 27 races during his five years of competition until his retirement from racing in 1960. His daughters also produced, or were the mothers of, a number of race winners, including the Hall of Fame members Kaweah Bar and Rocket Wrangler.

Summary Go Man GoGo Man Go was an American Quarter Horse stallion and race horse. He was named World Champion Quarter Running Horse three times in a row, one of only two horses to achieve that distinction. Go Man Go went on to sire two All American Futurity winners and seven Champion Quarter running Horses. He won 27 races during his five years of competition until his retirement from racing in 1960. His daughters also produced, or were the mothers of, a number of race winners, including the Hall of Fame members Kaweah Bar and Rocket Wrangler. In his five-year racing career, he competed in 47 races, earning more than USD 86,000. His final race was the only one of their races at Ruidoso Downs, where he was beaten by Vandy Flash. His earnings were 88,151, with 88 wins and 88 place placings. He is one of two horses in the history of Quarter Horse racing to be inducted into the American Quarter Horses Hall of fame. His sire, the Thoroughbred stallion Top Deck, was bred by the King Ranch. His dam, Lightfoot Sis, showed classic short speed in her pedigree, although she was unraced due to an injury as a filly that left her blind in one eye.

He had a reputation for being difficult to handle. His trainer once told Walt Wiggins, Sr. that Go Man go was “jes plain mean as a bear most of the time” His jockey, Robert Strauss, recalled later that he was the “greatest horse I ever rode” He was inducted to the AQHA Hall of Famer in 2010. He died in a car crash in Texas in 2012, at the age of 83. He left behind a wife and two daughters. His daughter is now a Quarter Horse breeder in Texas, and her son-in-law is a professional Quarter Horse jockey. His grandson is the Quarter Horse trainer and owner of the horse, Go Man’s grandson, Big Man Go, and the horse’s great-grandson, Big Boy Go, is also a Quarterhorse breeder. His great-great-granddaughter, Big Girl Go, has a career in Quarter Horse breeding and is the current AQHA Quarter Horse Hall Of Fame inductee. His granddaughter is Quarter Horse mare, Clear Track, who was bred to Top Deck and is a mother of two Quarter Horse winners.
