Glover Lucas Teixeira (born 28 October 1979) is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who currently competes in the Light heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. As of November 9, 2020, he is #1 in the UFC light heavyweight rankings. He holds the UFC all-time records for most submission and most finishes in the light heavyweight division. In November 2020 he became an American Citizen.

He is a former member of the Brazilian National Wrestling Team and has competed in the WEC, Impact FC, PFC, and Shooto. As of November 9, 2020, he is #1 in the UFC light heavyweight rankings. He holds the UFC all-time records for most submission and most finishes in the light heavyweight division. In November 2020 he became an American Citizen. In 2014 he opened his own gym Teixer MMA & Fitness, where he still currently trains and instructs. He has been included annually as an athlete in the Topps collector cards UFC editions since 2012. In 2013 he was made into a limited edition action figure in theUFC Ultimate Collector Round 5 Collectors Series 14. 5. He co-starred in the second season opening episode of the MMA reality television series TapouT titled “Lighty and Glover’s”. He won the 2009 Brazilian ADCC trials in the under 99 kg division and came second in the 2011 Brazilian AD CC trials. He knocked out future UFC and PRIDE veteran Sokoudjou by KO on 12 October 2006 at WEC 24. On 21 February 2012 it was announced that TeIXeira had signed a deal with the UFC and would make his debut on 26 May 2012 at UFC 146.

He was expected to face former UFC Light heavyweight Champion Quinton Jackson. However, Jackson pulled out of the bout citing an injury and was replaced by Fábio Maldonado, who won the fight in the first round. In the second round, he switched to side control and forced his opponent to tap at 1: 53:00. He then went on to knock out his opponent in five seconds. In October 2012 he won his first UFC fight against Kyle Kingsbury at UFC 153. In January 2013, he was featured on the cover of ‘Train Hard Fight Easy’ magazine. He also appeared in the EA Sports UFC video game, which was released in March 2014, EA Sport UFC 2, andEA Sports UFC 3, which were released in February 2018. He currently trains at the gym he opened in Bethel, Connecticut. He now has his own CrossFit certified CrossFit gym, which he also runs with his wife, Ingrid. He recently moved to Danbury, Connecticut to help support his family and found a job in landscaping. He met his wife at Hat City Boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu at American Top Team Connecticut. In April 2014, he moved to Bethel to work at The Pit Martial Arts. In August 2014 he moved back to Connecticut to work as a landscaping contractor. In September 2014 he became a full-time MMA fighter. In March 2015, he began training with Chuck Liddell in California.
