Gerwyn Price is a Welsh professional darts player. He is the first Welshman to win a PDC televised major by winning the Grand Slam of Darts. Price has also played rugby union for Neath and South Wales Scorpions. He ended his rugby career in 2014 in order to concentrate on darts.

Price has also played rugby union for Welsh Premier Division sides Neath and South Wales Scorpions. He ended his rugby career in 2014 in order to concentrate on darts. Price is currently ranked world number 3 in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) Darts World Championship. Price won his first Pro Tour title in 2016. He was the runner-up at the UK Open, Price’s first major event final, and has also competed in the prestigious Premier League Darts tournament on three occasions, finishing 10th, 5th, and 5th in 2018, 2019, and 2020, respectively. He has also had a brief spell at rugby league side Glasgow Warriors as injury cover for their first choice players. Price was advised by Welsh darts player Barrie Bates to turn to darts. He won the PDC World Masters at the World Darts Trophy in 2015. He retained the title at his televised PDC major at his first televised P darts major at the 2019 World Series Finals. Price also won the Premier League in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. He also played in the Welsh Super League for Aberbargo Welfare in the Super League Division 1. He played rugby league for Neath in the Premier Division and Cross Keys in the Pro12 Division 1 of the Welsh Premier League.

He had a spell at Pro12 side Glasgowriors in the rugby union Pro12. Price played for Welsh rugby union side Neath as a hooker and hooker in the Rugby League Pro12, Pro12 and Pro12 Divisions 1 and 2. He currently plays darts for his local side Markham Welfare in Markham, Wales. His nickname is ‘The puppy kicker’ and he is nicknamed ‘Ice Ice Baby’ for his right-handed throwing style. He plays his darts for the Welsh Darts Association (WDA) and is a member of the WDA’s Dartsverning Council (DSA). He has won the World Masters title at the BDO World Masters tournament in 2015, and the World Series finals at the WDSL Champions League tournament in 2019 and the European Tour Finals at the EPL Champions League in 2018 and 2019, as well as the World Grand Prix tournament at the Grand Prix in 2016 and 2017. He will compete in the 2020 World Grand Slam Darts Tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada, which will be his first major tournament as a professional player. Price will also play in the European Grand Prix Darts Championship at the end of the year, which is his second major tournament after winning it in 2015 and 2016. His next major tournament will be the European Open Darts Championships at the start of 2020. He hopes to play in his first Grand Slam final at the age of 30 in the summer of 2019.
