Enrique Miguel Iglesias Preysler (born 8 May 1975) is a Spanish singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer who is known as the King of Latin Pop. He began his career during the mid-1990s on American Spanish-language record label Fonovisa Records under the stage name Enrique Martinez. He has had five Billboard Hot 100 top five singles, including two number-ones. He holds the record for the most number-one songs on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart with 27 songs.

He is one of the best-selling Latin music artists with estimated sales of over 180 million records worldwide. His father Julio is recognized as the most commercially successful continental European singer in the world. His mother is Filipina socialite and magazine journalist Isabel preysler. One of his mother’s aunts is actress Neile Adams, the first wife of American actor Steve McQueen, mother of actor Chad McQueen and grandmother of actor Steven R. McQueen. In 2015, he parted ways with Sony Music and his subsequent albums were to be released by Sony Music Latin in Spanish and RCA Records in English. His first album,  Si Tú Te Vas, sold over half a million copies in its first week, a rare accomplishment for an album recorded in a language other than English, including Portugal, Spain, and Portugal. His next album, along with two others, was released by the Mexican label F onovisa, and sold over two million copies within two months of its release in the first week of release. In July 1995, he traveled to Toronto to record his first album under his stage name ‘Enrique Martínezz’, with the help of the singer from Guatemala, to promote the album. After dropping out of college, he moved to Toronto and recorded his next album under the name Enrique Iglesia. He also released his first single, “Tú Te Te Vas”, in July 1995. In the same year, he made a successful crossover into the US mainstream market. In January 1996, he released his second album, “Iglesias”, on the record label Fonovisia. In March 1998, he signed a deal with the record company F onvisia to release two more albums, including one in English, one in Spanish, and one in Portuguese.
