Chris Sarandon Jr. is an American actor. He is best known for playing Jerry Dandrige in Fright Night and Prince Humperdinck in The Princess Bride. He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Leon Shermer in Dog Day Afternoon.

He was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Leon Shermer in Dog Day Afternoon. Sarandon was born and raised in Beckley, West Virginia, the son of restaurateurs Chris Sarandon and Cliffie. He has appeared in a number of movies, including Edie & American Perfume, and Let the Devil Wear Black.

He appeared on Broadway in the musical Nick & Nora with Joanna Gleason, the daughter of Monty Hall. In 2006 he played Naccarelli in the Tony award-winning musical The Light in the Piazza at Lincoln Center. Most recently he appeared in Cyrano de Bergerac as Antoine de Bergerano in the production of Chekhov, with Kevin Kline, Jennifer Garner, Daniel Sunjata, and Daniel Radcliffe. He currently lives in West Virginia with his wife of 24 years.
