Ava was theatrically released in Hungary on July 2, 2020, and in the United States was released through DirecTV Cinema on August 27, 2020. It will be released by Netflix on December 6, 2020 and will be available on Blu-ray and DVD in the U.S. on September 25, 2020; it will not be available in the UK or Australia. The movie is expected to be released in Europe in October 2020, with a release date of December 21, 2020 in Australia and December 22, 2023 in Europe and December 23, 2025 in Australia, and December 24, 2026 in the rest of the world.

It is set in Boston, where Ava runs away from her home eight years ago and meets her estranged sister, Judy, and her boyfriend, Michael, who is also a former flame of Ava’s. In Riyadh, Ava kills a German general but makes it look like a natural death. In British Columbia, her superior, Simon, is enraged that Ava talks to her targets and questions her abilities, but Duke convinces him to leave her alone. However, Simon orders assassin Alain to kill Ava. Alain tracks down Ava and attempts to kill her, but gets killed himself in the ensuing fight. In Boston, her mother, who realized her dead husband was at fault, is proud of the woman Ava has become. In Saudi Arabia, she kills some of her men before dropping a bag of money for Toni to pay off her debt.
