In 2018, Forbes estimated the club was the third most valuable in England, being worth USD 2. 24 billion. In 1886, Woolwich munitions workers founded the club as Dial Square. In 1913, the club crossed the city to Arsenal Stadium in Highbury, becoming close neighbours of Tottenham Hotspur, and creating the North London derby. In 1919, The Arsenal saw the promotion of The Arsenal to The Football League voted into the newly enlarged First Division, despite only listing the club sixth in the pre-war First Division. Some books have speculated that the club won this year’s First Division election by dubious means. With a new First Division and home and away attendances double those at the Manor Ground, Arsenal’s budget grew rapidly.
