Milan’s home games are played at San Siro, also known as the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. The stadium is the largest in Italian football, with a total capacity of 80,018. They have a long-standing rivalry with Inter, with whom they contest the Derby della Madonnina; it is one of the most followed derbies in football. Milan has won a joint record three Intercontinental Cups and one FIFA Club World Cup, seven European CupChampions League titles, the UEFA Super Cup a jointrecord five times and the Cup Winners’ Cup twice. Milan was involved in the 1980 Totonero scandal and as punishment was relegated to Serie B for the first time in its history. They have also won the Coppa Italia five times, and the Supercoppa Italiana seven. The club has won 18 FIFA and UEFA trophies is the fourth highest out of any club, and the most out ofany Italian club. The most recent of these is the UEFA Champions League, which they won in May 2014. Milan have won the Champions League seven times, the most of any Italian club, including three times in the last five years. The last time Milan won the European Champions League was in 2007, when they beat Real Madrid 3-1 in the final. Milan are the most successful Italian club in the history of the competition, having won 18 league titles and seven European Cups. They are also the second most successful Serie A club, behind Juventus, with 14 league titles to their name. They also have the most European Cups, with seven, after winning the European Cup in 1963 and 1968. Milan also won two European Cups in 1967 and 1972, as well as the European Super Cup in 1972 and 1973. The team won the Scudetto in 1951, 1955, 1957, 1959 and 1962. The Scudeto was won by Gunnar Gren, Gunnar Nordahl and Nils Liedholm during the 1950s. In 1979, Milan won a tenth league title in 1979, but after the retirement of Gianni Rivera in the same year, they went into a period of decline.
