He rose to prominence in 2011 with his single “Levels” His debut studio album, True, peaked in the top ten in more than fifteen countries and topped international charts. He committed suicide in Muscat, Oman, on April 20, 2018, at the age of 29.

He retired from touring in 2016 due to health problems, having suffered from stress and poor mental health for several years. His posthumous third album, titled Tim, was released in 2019. He committed suicide in Muscat, Oman, on April 20, 2018, at the age of 29. He was the son of Klas Bergling and actress Anki Lidén. He had three siblings: David Bergling, Linda Sterner, and actor Anton Körberg. Bergling was a member of the Laidback Luke Forums, where he refined his craft and, at times, demonstrated his distinct deep house style. In May 2007, Bergling signed on with the Dejfitts Plays label. He remixed Nadia Ali’s classic single “Rapture” for her album Queen of Clubs Trilogy: Onyx Edition. In 2012, his collaboration track “Sunshine” with David Guetta was nominated for a Grammy award under the category for Best Dance Recording. In 2013, he remixed Madonna’s “Girl Gone Wild” with Madonna and Lenny Kravitz. On 27 April 2012, he released a new song titled “Silhouettes” on his SoundCloud page as a free download on his official website.

He later released two more songs, “Superlove” and “Lonely Together” in 2017. He died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in Oman on 20 April, aged 29, and was survived by his wife and two children. He is survived by a brother, David, and two sisters, Linda and Linda-Ann. He also has a son, David Jr, who was born in 1994. He has a daughter, Lina, who is a singer-songwriter and has released two albums. He released two singles with Nicky Romero, including “I Could Be the One” in 2012. In 2011, Bergled’s track “Fade into Darkness” was sampled by Leona Lewis on her single “Collide” The sampling was not accredited and led to controversy as Bergling attempted to block the single’s release. The matter was resolved out of court, with \”Collide” being made a joint release between Lewis and Bergling. In October 2011, Bergling released “levels”, which launched him into the mainstream. In March 2012, Bergling’s unsigned single “Last Dance Dance” was previewed on Pete Tong’s show on BBC Radio 1. The song was later released on 27 August 2012. It was featured on the UMF Remix of “Girl gone Wild” at Ultra Music Festival in Miami.
