Vinod Khanna

Vinod Khanna was an Indian actor, film producer and politician. He made his film debut in 1968 and was one of the highest-paid stars of his times. He played lead roles in many films and is best remembered for his performances in Kuchhe Dhaage, Gaddaar, Imtihaan, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Inkaar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Rajput, The Burning Train, Qurbani, Kudrat, Parvarish, Khoon Pasina, Dayavan, Chandni and Jurm. He died of a heart attack at the age of 48 on November 14, 2013.

His funeral was held on November 17, 2013, at his home in Pune, Uttar Pradesh. His last film was Achanak, which was a film based on the events of K.M. Nanavati v. State of Maharashtra. The film was released on November 18, 2014, and was a box office success. It was the third highest-grossing Indian movie of the 1970s after Shereolay and A Main Tere Maini. The movie was directed by Shashank Joshi, who went on to become the highest grossing Indian film of 1977 and 1978, respectively. It also won him the Filmfare award for best supporting actor. He also won two Filmfare awards for Best Actor and Best Actress.
