The Seattle Seahawks are a professional American football team based in Seattle. They play in the National Football League’s National Football Conference West division. The team has won 10 division titles and three conference championships. The name Seattle Seahawks was selected on June 17, 1975 after a public naming contest which drew more than 20,000 entries.
