Sara Gideon
Sara I. Gideon is an American politician who served as the Speaker of the Maine House of Representatives. She was the Democratic nominee for the 2020 U.S. Senate election in Maine. Gideon’s father is from India and her mother, a psychiatrist, is a second-generation Armenian American.
