Robert E. Lee Day is a state holiday in parts of the Southern US. It commemorates the Confederate general Robert E. Lee. It has been celebrated it on Lee’s Birthday in Tennessee, Florida and Texas. Alabama and Mississippi observe it on the third Monday in January.
