Mordechai Yissachar Ber Leifer
Mordechai Yissachar Ber Leifer was the third Rebbe of the Pittsburgh Hasidic dynasty. He died on October 5, aged 64, after contracting the COVID-19 pandemic in Israel. Leifer composed more than 250 melodies, many of them pertinent to the synagogue prayer service, the Hallel Chodesh and Yom Tov.
