Lover is the seventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was released on August 23, 2019, through Republic Records. The album is primarily a 1980s retro-styled pop record that combines synth-pop, electropop and pop rock. In the United States, Lover was Swift’s sixth number-one album on the Billboard 200 and was certified double platinum.
