Joan Bakewell
Joan Dawson Bakewell, DBE, HonFBA, FRSA, is an English journalist, television presenter and Labour Party peer. She is President of Birkbeck, University of London; she is also an author and playwright. Bakewell was born on 16 April 1933 in Heaton Moor, Stockport, Cheshire, England.
