Hardware random number generator
Hardware random number generators are used in cryptography. They are a more secure alternative to pseudorandom number generators. The RAND Corporation began generating random digits with an electronic roulette wheel in 1947. It is still used today in Internet encryption protocols such as Transport Layer Security.
